With a lifelong passion for swimming and a deep commitment to water safety, Marrin is thrilled to be pursuing my certification as an Aquatic Education Specialist through Swim Life, Inc with the goal of offering survival swimming lessons to my hometown community!

Marrin's journey in the water began early. She learned to swim-float-swim at 13 months of age, which proved invaluable when she successfully navigated two unexpected falls into the pool before the age of three. Her competitive swimming career began at just five years old, and she honed her skills over the years and proudly holds the record for the 100-meter breaststroke at Astronaut High School, a title she earned in 2013.  Before high school, she attended Junior Olympics twice and was selected to participate on the Florida Swimming All-Star team at age 11.  

For the past 13 years, Marrin has worked with dancers aged 18 months to 18 years at Kalon Dance Co, specializing in toddler ballet, tap, creative movement, and tumble. Under the guidance of the legendary Mrs. Kim Southwell, she learned how to successfully encourage toddlers and ignite their excitement for reaching their full potential. As a dance coach and mentor, Marrin thrives on witnessing her students’ successes and building long-lasting relationships with them and their families. 

Growing up, she had the unique opportunity to watch her mother and her mentors teach survival swimming, snorkeling, stroke development as well as coach for central Florida area swim teams. Many of her fondest memories involve skipping school to snorkel alongside her and the little ones, fostering her love for teaching and ensuring water safety from a young age.  

Now, Marrin is excited to follow in her mom’s footsteps (or bubbles!) as she shares her knowledge and skills with the next generation by bringing the Swim Life, Inc. program back to North Brevard. She can’t wait to train your little turtle, instilling confidence and safety in the water while making it a fun and engaging experience!  Prepare to be amazed at all your child will accomplish in 20 fifteen minute lessons!
