Kim is a mother to 3 adult children and a grandmother to 6.  She has been married to her husband, Shaun for 35 years.  She enjoys spending time with her family in and out of the water.  When not working as an RN on a Mother/Baby/Postpartum unit, she is usually on or in the water.  Kim enjoys spending time on the family boat where she loves to scallop and fish with her family.  She is also a certified open water diver and loves to explore the ocean floors. 

Kim felt the desire to become a SwimLife instructor after searching for someone in her area to provide lessons for her 6 month old grandson, Theo.  With having a pool in Kim's backyard, Theo's water safety was especially important because Theo's father had already lost a child, from a previous marriage, to drowning.  She wants to make sure that no other family experiences that kind of loss.
