Cheralyn Whetstone
Virginia Beach

Cheralyn Whetstone is a successful real estate agent and the mother of two teenagers whose diverse interests keep her on her toes. Cheralyn is married to a former Naval Aviator and has lived close to the ocean and water her entire life. Cheralyn’s dedication to teaching young children aquatic survival skills has a very personal connection. Cheralyn’s daughter, Sydney fell into a pool and had it not been for the survival skills Sydney learned as a toddler, she might well have become a drowning statistic. Cheralyn has been an advocate in preventing childhood drownings ever since.

A gifted communicator who loves working with children in and out of the water, Cheralyn is on the Board of Directors for several charitable organizations that promote the health and mental well-being of “at risk”, disabled children, and Veterans suffering from PTSD related episodes.

Cheralyn is a firm believer that ALL childhood accidental drownings can be avoided and is passionate about teaching adults to embrace water safety for their children through proper lessons. Floaties and inflatables are toys not a replacement for knowing how to swim! Cheralyn teaches at her home and also is available for private lessons in Virginia Beach.

Cheralyn is certified and qualified as:

  • Swim Life Aquatic Education Specialist

  • CPR/First Aid
